A fun day in Wisconsin

I had the privilege of helping in a workshop for Vets in Madison Wisconsin last week. It was so much fun. I loved seeing a different perspective than my own. I also really enjoyed being with others who shared a passion for photography. It was a gift for me to have a day where I wasn't trying to get the shot but rather got to see others excited about what they captured and I just got to be a part of it. They took some really amazing pictures and I am excited to share a few with you here. 

Crystal Lake, IL - Family Photographer

I had so much fun shooting these gorgeous kiddos in Crystal Lake at Veterans Acres park.  I don't think there is a more handsome baby out there.  He was just adorable!!! And his big sis was spunky and awesome.  They were full of cuteness and I was ready and excited to capture it all!  Enjoy.

When I started this blog post.... several hours ago.... I was intending to make a list of 10 things I am currently thankful for.

I didn't get very far because my boys needed lots of attention today. So now there is 1 thing on my mind that I am extremely thankful for:

1.  It's 5 o'clock which means the husband is on his way home to take over on parenting duty. =)         I will try again with my list of things to be thankful for tomorrow. =) ...Or sometime soon.

We had the perfect day for mini shoots at Cantigny Gardens in Wheaton IL. It was a tad chilly but the over cast made all the colors vibrant and beautiful!

Barrington IL, Bridal Photography

This is definitely in my top 3 favorite shoots. It was so fun!! We had the most beautiful evening to take some classic bridal portraits!! Tim and Amanda were celebrating a special wedding anniversary ( I think 5 years?) as well as a growing family!! We had a blast re-creating some of their favorite wedding photos and taking some new favorites as well. Tim and Amanda choose to do their shoot at their home church, Willow Creek, and despite some construction going on and a Wedding in progress we nailed it!! I loved Amanda's vintage lace dress, and Tim was dashing in his new suit! You couldn't ask for nicer people!!

Barrington IL, Couple Photography

I had so much fun with these two!! We re-created some of their favorite wedding images and then took some shots to announce their families new adventure!! Yep, Amanda has a bun in the oven!! I can't wait to get pictures of this little baby, who is sure to be a character with such awesome parents!! I look forward to sharing more pictures from this session when I get them edited.
